Ex-con sentenced in arson spree
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – A parolee has been sentenced to 80 years 4-months in prison for setting a series of fires in the rural community of Homeland.

Marco Aispuro was arrested last year after two fires heavily damaged or destroyed a pair of mobile homes. Those fires were the last in a series that began April 30th, 2016 at a church on Highway 74.

Aispuro was connected to the arson spree with a moniker – ‘2 hard’ – that had been spray- painted at most of the fire locations. That moniker was attributed to Aispuro.

All the fires occurred at night and most appeared to have started outside buildings. Combined damages neared $1 million. There were no injuries.

The 44-year-old parolee was convicted last July on 14 charges. He was sentenced Monday in Riverside Superior Court.
