LOS ANGELES – (INT) – Steve Edwards, one of the most familiar names in Southern California radio and television, has left KTTV without explanation.

A spokeswoman for Fox gave a terse statement saying “We can confirm that Steve Edwards is no longer employed by KTTV.”

The Hollywood Reporter claimed Edwards was let go after allegations of sexual harassment were made against him.

Edwards signed on at the former KNXT in 1978 and later anchored a long-running talk show on KABC Radio.

Edwards has co-hosted ‘Good Day L.A.’ for 22 years. His departure Monday was described as ‘abrupt’.
