Cross-country feline getting ticket back to Georgia
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Kitty Bitty may soon be on his way back to Georgia.

The 5-year-old domestic short-haired cat survived a cross-country trip as a stow-away inside a soda truck.

The feline went missing on the Fourth of July in Pooler, Georgia and recently turned up at Pepsi’s Riverside plant suffering only dehydration and lack of nutrition.

A rabies tag enabled animal control workers to contact Kitty Bitty’s owner in Georgia, Teresa Cameron and her 5-year-old daughter, Ava.

“My daughter has been telling me everyday since he's been gone how much she misses him and wishes he would come back. She is over the moon that he has been found,” Ms. Cameron said.

An animal control spokesman said they plan to fly the cat back to Georgia on Monday.
