Shoot out leaves pawn shop employee dead
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Two robbers are likely to face murder charges stemming from a Wednesday gun battle that left a pawn shop employee dead.

Police said that three employees were injured and one, Jason Cullen, 32, of Highland, later died. The other two suffered burns from a Molotov cocktail the bandits threw at a display case.

The robbers wearing surgical masks attempted a take-over style robbery of the shop on Highland Avenue, but fled apparently empty-handed crashing their get-away car into a fence. It wasn’t immediately known if they were injured as they vanished into a nearby apartment complex. They remained at-large at last report.

It was the city’s fourth homicide since the beginning of the year.
