Dummie’s Guide to Riverside Finances
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Residents of Riverside are getting their first look at an abbreviated, simplified website document that lists where the city’s money comes from and where it goes.

The 15-page document shows with charts, graphics and photos how Riverside collects revenue, how it spends it, and what factors can affect a city’s financial health.

It provides key statistics and factoids, like the more than 53,000 recreation classes that were provided in 2017 or the 827 miles of sewers across the city.

Mayor Rusty Bailey wants to emphasize transparency. “I’m happy to see our Finance Department come up with a document that makes the most relevant information about our city’s financial condition more manageable for everyone,” he said.

It can be found at https://riversideca.gov/finance/
