Bringing quieter skies to Lake Arrowhead
LAKE ARROWHEAD – (INT) – Representatives of the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) have agreed to appear at a January 25th community meeting over complaints of increasing aircraft noise.

Flight patterns for aircraft incoming to Ontario International Airport were readjusted a few months ago in an attempt to streamline airspace throughout Southern California.

Congressman Paul Cook says he has been talking with FAA officials to see what can be done to move the flight path away from populated areas. “I hope the FAA has heard the outcry from the residents over the past nine months and will be ready to offer a real solution,” Cook said.

“I have received numerous emails and calls from residents upset about how the flight path change has disrupted their community,” said Second District County Supervisor Janice Rutherford.

Rutherford says FAA Regional Administrator Dennis Roberts will make a presentation about the changes the agency made around Lake Arrowhead and a potential solution to local community concerns about overflights while maintaining the project’s enhanced airspace safety and efficiency benefits.

The January 25th meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa.
