Continuation schools get recognition
Two San Bernardino County high schools were among 32 statewide recognized as Model Continuation programs, according to the state schools superintendent. Green Valley High in the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District and Valley View High in the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. They were recognized for “creating innovative programs that focus on academics and social and emotional learning.” California has 441 continuation high schools that serve more than 53,000 students.
