Neighborhood traffic management comes to Fontana
FONTANA – (INT) - Is your quiet street turning into a speed zone? Now, there's a new program that allows residents to take action.

The Fontana City Council adopted the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP) at their council meeting on Tuesday to provide residents with a process to work on solutions for traffic-related issues within their neighborhood, such as vehicle speeding, excessive traffic volumes and/or unsafe driving.

City staff from Traffic Engineering, Police and Fire will work together to assist residents as technical experts to develop a customized traffic management plan for the specific neighborhoods. The need for the program stems from the City's desire to provide a systematic and accessible approach to handling neighborhood traffic requests.
