The Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice has appointed Allen Hernandez as its new executive director. Hernandez brings nearly two decades of experience organizing communities impacted by pollution in the Inland region where he grew up. He succeeds founder Penny Newman as she retires from the executive director position she held for more than three decades. Newman is now running for Riverside County supervisor. (INT)
