Women's History Month Study gives California low marks
SACRAMENTO – (INT) – This is Women’s History Month, but many won’t have much to celebrate in California. The state is near the bottom in several key metrics.
California ranks 49th in median earnings of female workers when adjusted for the Cost of Living. The Golden state doesn’t do much better in unemployment, the share of women in poverty and is near the bottom in the share of women who voted in the 2016 Presidential Election.
WalletHub found California women do best in life expectancy at birth, their high school graduation rate and twelfth highest in the share of women-owned businesses.
