An 18-year-old San Bernardino youth is recovering from gunshot wounds following a series of incidents culminating in a confrontation with police late Thursday night. San Bernardino police said that Jorge Pelayo became enraged after a verbal dispute with his girlfriend. Police said that Pelayo was brandishing a handgun when officers got off the first shots. (INT)
