INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – New census data released Thursday placed Riverside County among the top 10 fastest growing in the nation.

For the 12-month period ending last July, six of the top 10 largest-gaining counties were in Texas. Riverside County and Clark County, Nevada were among the remaining four.

For the Inland Empire, which includes all of Riverside and San Bernardino counties, the area added 57,017 residents bringing the IE’s population to 4,580,670, the US Census Bureau estimated.

Among the nation’s counties, the top 10 with the largest numeric growth are all located in the South and the West.
