SOUTHLAND – (INT) - The upward springtime price pressure continues as Southern California motorists are paying still more. The statewide average is $3.51 a gallon for regular unleaded.

In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is $3.50, which is 14 cents higher than last month, and 53 cents more than at this time last year.

Gas price averages in most local areas have risen by about 50 cents a gallon since the start of the year.

By comparison, motorists in the Riverside-San Bernardino area paid a record $4.68 in October 2012.
