Driveway tragedies leave three toddlers dead
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Police are investigating another tragic driveway incident.

For the third time in six weeks, a toddler has been accidentally run over by a family member in San Bernardino County.

San Bernardino police said Wednesday the latest incident happened as a vehicle was backing down a residential driveway on Home Avenue.

An 18-month-old boy was fatally injured and could not be revived at a local hospital.

A similar incident in San Bernardino Easter Sunday claimed the life of a 2-year-old girl.

No details or names of those involved in either incident were released because of juvenile confidentiality, police said.

In Apple Valley, a little boy was accidentally run over February 27th after a motorist opened a driveway gate at a residence and drove through it. Sheriff’s investigators said the driver was unaware the toddler had walked in front of the moving SUV.
