Death threat against congresswoman brings guilty plea LOS ANGELES – (INT) - A San Pedro man has pleaded guilty to threatening to kill Southern California Congresswoman Maxine Waters.
Anthony Scott Lloyd, 45, called the congresswoman’s Washington, D.C. office last October and left a voicemail laced with expletives and epithets. The message used the words “dead” and “kill” a total of four times. Lloyd entered the guilty plea Monday before United States District Judge Stephen V. Wilson, who scheduled a sentencing hearing for July 16. At the time of sentencing, Lloyd will face a statutory maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison. Story Date: April 19, 2018
