Refinery maintenance adds to gas price surge
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – A relentless run-up in gasoline prices seems to be gaining momentum.
Oil prices have hit $70 a barrel. That coupled with a refinery maintenance issue in Southern California are adding fuel to the price surge.
The retail statewide average is $3.66 a gallon for regular. In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is 14 cents higher than last month and 67 cents more than at this time last year.
Regular 87 octane gasoline is San Bernardino is averaging $3.65, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California.
