Street racing crash kills two boys
MEAD VALLEY – (INT) – California Highway Patrol investigators have determined that an impromptu street race between two motorists precipitated a crash with a third vehicle that killed two little boys.
One of the racing drivers is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter. The other left the scene of the Tuesday evening incident in a black Nissan Altima and had not been located, at last report.
The two drivers were racing eastbound on Oakwood Road when one crossed the center line and crashed head-on with a westbound car near the crest of a hill.
The third driver survived, but his passengers, Dominic and Antonio Gonzales, ages 6 and 7, were fatally injured.
