Causes of several deadly traffic accidents sought
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – A series of deadly traffic mishaps around the Inland Empire has killed at least seven people.
Among the most recent incidents Tuesday, a head-on collision involving three vehicles near Mead Valley’s Civic Center capped a street race between two drivers and claimed two lives. The coroner identified the victims Wednesday as Antonio Gonzalez, age 7, and 6-year-old Dominic Gonzales, both of Perris. Two other people were hurt.
Earlier Monday, a 2-vehicle collision at an intersection in Phelan killed two more people. A 77-year-old motorist who caused the crash is among the fatalities.
A young Murrieta man was killed Tuesday when a motorist pulled his moving truck into the path of an oncoming motorcycle at an intersection near Temecula. Motorcyclist Shamar Turner, 21, was ejected onto the southbound lane of Rancho California Road at Avenida Del Oro.
Two more fatal accidents were reported Tuesday at Hesperia and Indio.
Earlier, four pedestrians died in a series of weekend incidents. (INT)
