California water news improves SACRAMENTO – (INT) - Most of California’s major reservoir levels continue to be above their historical averages, the State Department of Water Resources (DWR) reported Monday. However, levels are lower than last month.
Shasta Lake, the state’s largest reservoir, is at 89 percent of capacity. Nonetheless, the DWR increased the State Water Project allocation for this year to 35 percent – up slightly from the 30 percent allocation announced in April. Story Date: June 4, 2018
