Two perish in freeway interchange crash
COLTON (INT) Commuters driving Interstate 10 were forced to find an alternate route Wednesday morning when three vehicles were involved in a deadly incident at the Guthrie (I-10/215) Interchange.

Three of the eastbound lanes were closed as investigators sorted out what happened when a truck and a sedan collided sending one of the vehicles over a bridge railing and into a riverbed. Two people perished.

A third vehicle headed westbound was struck by flying debris.

The crash touched off a small brushfire that was quickly rounded up.

Caltrans dispatched inspectors to check out the integrity of the bridge.

Names of the victims were not immediately available.
