Gas prices inching down by the milliliter
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Southern Californians are tweaking their summer travel budgets. They may be getting some relief at the gas pump.

Gas prices in all major metropolitan areas of Southern California are dropping slightly amid signals that more reductions could be on the way, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California.

The retail statewide average is $3.72 a gallon for 87 octane regular.

In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is still two cents higher than last month and 73 cents more than at this time last year.

“Oil industry analysts are now saying that lower than-expected gasoline demand in California this summer, coupled with excess supply, could drive down prices in coming weeks,” said Auto Club spokesman Jeffrey Spring.
