The death of a 4-year-old boy has been upgraded to murder and his step-mother is under arrest. San Bernardino County sheriff’s investigators are not saying what happened to Benjamin Schmittle. He died a day after he was found unresponsive at a residence at the Ft. Irwin Army Base north of Barstow. Jailed is Rose Marie Schmittle, age 24. (INT)
