MURRIETA – (INT) - The biological father of a Murrieta boy who was abused for several months to the point of becoming comatose and the man’s live-in girlfriend are getting lengthy prison sentences.

Benjamin Matthew Whitten, 34, and Jeryn Christine Johnson, 26, pleaded guilty Friday as their preliminary hearing was about to start in Superior Court at Murrieta.

Johnson was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences. Whitten was ordered to prison for 17 years.
