Lake Elsinore homeless camps get visitors
LAKE ELSINORE – (INT) – City officials are encouraged over what they say was the ‘success’ of Saturday’s sweep of seventeen homeless encampments.

Thirty-three people were arrested mostly for trespassing. Several more had warrants out for their arrest, but only two were accused of drug violations.

Fifteen were given the opportunity for home placement, but only two accepted.

Mayor Natasha Johnson accompanied sheriff’s deputies and Code Enforcement officers on their visit to the homeless camps.
