Fireworks crackdown brought some results
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – A San Bernardino County taskforce against illegal fireworks has updated results of its work.

Nearly 31,000 pounds of dangerous and illegal fireworks have been confiscated in the weeks leading up to the Fourth of July.

Investigators issued 121 citations totaling $151,250 in fines for possession of illegal fireworks.

The Riverside City Council has re-authorize a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the apprehension of anyone using illegal fireworks resulting in injury or death to another person or the destruction of property.

The City Council’s action will allow Riverside to improve enforcement by gathering additional information about where fireworks are being used.
