Two factors pushing down gas prices SOUTHLAND - (INT) - A combination of lower oil prices and increased local supply are pushing down Southern California pump prices.
The Automobile Club of Southern California's latest Fuel Gauge report puts the statewide average at $3.64 a gallon for 87 octane regular. In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is $3.57, which is 10 cents lower than last month, but 74 cents more than at this time last summer. “Gas prices are dropping locally on news of healthy fuel supplies in California and a reduction in oil prices over the past week,” said Auto Club spokesman Jeffrey Spring.
