PMI: Thumbs up for the local economy
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) is giving a solid insight to the strength of the region’s economy. The latest PMI erased the momentary hesitation of the previous month.

The index has remained above the baseline mark for the last 19 months, indicating sustained growth for both the manufacturing sector and the overall local economy, according to the Institute of Applied Research at Cal State San Bernardino. Production and New Order are leading the way.

Ninety-two percent of the purchasing managers surveyed predict the local economy will grow stronger or remain the same in the coming months.
