Dangerous weather combination shaping up
SOUTHLAND - (INT) – Another Excessive Heat Watch is about to be imposed on all of Southern California except along the immediate coast. It goes up Monday as the next heat wave pushes afternoon temperatures to 103 at the mountain resorts, 111 throughout the inland valleys and near 117 in the deserts.

A combination of triple digit heat and high humidity will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Southern Californians are urged to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, avoid the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.

The highest temperatures are likely Monday and Tuesday.

The mountain and desert showers and thunderstorms have been sidelined until the middle of next week. An easterly flow returns with rain chances, higher humidity and slightly cooler weather.
