Gasoline prices stuck in neutral
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Southern California gasoline prices are in a holding pattern. They are hovering 10-to-15 cents a gallon below the highest levels of the year.
The Auto Club’s Fuel Gauge report puts the statewide average at $3.62 a gallon for 87 octane regular.
In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is five cents lower than last month, and 65 cents more than at this time last year.
“The gasoline futures market has dipped due to investor worries of lower demand and ample supply in coming months,” said Auto Club spokesman Jeffrey Spring. “It’s not yet a trend, but if it continues, local motorists could finally see some relief at the pump.”
