Homeland Security agent denies civil rights charges RIVERSIDE – (INT) - A former special agent with Homeland Security (HSI) is facing an October civil rights trial.
John Jacobs Olivas, 43, of Riverside was arraigned in federal court Wednesday on charges he sexually assaulted one woman and twice raped another. Federal prosecutors contend that Olivas abused his official position to convince the women not to report his violent conduct. Olivas began with his career with ICE in 2007 and later resigned after working as an HSI special agent for just over six years. (INT) Story Date: August 18, 2018
