California on track to achieve 2030 climate goal
SACRAMENTO – (INT) - California’s Climate Change Scoping Plan shows petroleum demand will decrease by more than 45 percent by 2030.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) predicts we will be using less gasoline and diesel resulting in healthier air and cost-savings on transportation fuels.

CARB is hosting a workshop Monday to provide an update on efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from petroleum sources.

SB 32 extended the goals of AB 32 and set a 2030 goal of reducing emissions 40 percent from 2020 levels.
