Homeless issues flaring in Riverside
RIVERSIDE (INT) - Issues attributed to the homeless living in the Santa Ana Riverbottom at Riverside are growing.

An encampment beneath the Mission Inn Bridge burned on Tuesday. Firefighters had to use chain saws to cut through the heavy vegetation and extinguish the fire that flared near an assortment of BBQs and gas ovens. It took thirty firefighters to put down the 2-alarm fire. One suffered smoke inhalation.

While one fire was being fought, two homeless individuals got into a disagreement. The encampment of one was set on fire.

Earlier, police found a patch of marijuana growing in the riverbottom near the Van Buren Avenue Bridge.
