Holy Fire declared '100% contained LAKE ELSINORE – (INT) – Officials with the Cleveland National Forest tweeted Thursday that the Holy Fire is ‘100% contained’.
The arson-caused fire is not completely out and the Forest Service said it will maintain patrols in the Santa Ana Mountains “to monitor for interior heat” in the event of flare-ups. It is not clear how many personnel are still on scene or plans for full control. A recent flare-up jumped containment lines threatening electronic facilities atop Santiago Pea The 23,000 acre fire destroyed more than a dozen homes and other structures mostly in Holy Jim Canyon before entering Riverside County forcing evacuations near Lake Elsinore.
