Police end parolee's crime spree
MONTCLAIR – (INT) - A parolee is recovering from police gunshot wounds after going on a 1-man crime spree in Upland and Montclair early Wednesday.

Anthony Jacks was initially checked out at a hospital after he was seen swinging a stick at a gas station and later breaking into a home and assaulting one person. He managed to elude police in Upland until he showed up later in nearby Montclair and began throwing rocks at passing vehicles on Central Avenue. At least seven vehicles were struck before an officer-involved shooting ended Jacks’ unexplained behavior.

Jacks was on probation for statutory rape and had an active no-bail warrant for additional charges.
