HOLLYWOOD – ‘The Predator’ is devouring the competition at the Box Office.

Starring Olivia Munn and Boyd Holbrook, Shane Black's "The Predator," the latest installment in the franchise, cost $88 million to produce. The film found itself in a casting controversy when 20th Century Fox cut a scene starring a registered sex offender.

Second place goes to the "Conjuring" spinoff "The Nun". The horror movie has now grossed more than $85 million.

"A Simple Favor" opened close behind in third place. The film from director Paul Feig stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.

Fourth and fifth places are neck and neck. Studios estimates say Matthew McConaughey's "White Boy Rick" has a slight advantage over "Crazy Rich Asians".
