California wildfires ranked, most recent the worst
Seven of California’s ten largest wildfires have occurred the past eleven years.

The biggest, dubbed the Mendocino Complex, has finally been contained nearly 2-months after it started its destructive march across Northern California.

It consumed more than 280 structures, 157 of which were homes, and scorched an area bigger than Los Angeles.

The Mendocino Complex was named when the Ranch and River fires merged and ultimately consumed 459,000 acres. One firefighter was killed.
