Inland job growth hits 3.8 percent
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Riverside and San Bernardino counties, collectively known as the Inland Empire, continue to rack up impressive job gains.

The region’s jobless rate declined to 4.5 percent in August as schools reopened bringing teachers back to their classrooms.

Help Wanted signs are posted everywhere as the unemployment rate continues its lowest numbers in 40 years.

The State Employment Department estimates that the region has added 51,100 jobs the past 12 months for a growth rate of 3.8 percent. Only the information sector has lost jobs, mostly in telecommunications.
