Gasoline prices hit 3-year high
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – If you noticed a double-digit increase in gasoline prices, so did a lot of motorists.

A statement from the Automobile Club of Southern California (ACSC) explained that “Oil prices and oil futures have risen sharply while continued issues at refineries in El Segundo and Los Angeles intensified anxieties about local gasoline supplies, pushing our gas prices up to the highest levels since August 2015.”

In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is $3.75, which is 21 cents higher than last month, and 71 cents more than at this time last year.

Statewide, the average is $3.78 a gallon.

The ACSC found that wholesale gasoline prices have dropped, possibly indicating that pump price increases won’t continue much longer.
