Riverside's Henry Coil, Jr. dies at 85
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Building magnate, philanthropist and former Riverside City Councilman Henry Coil, Jr. has died. He was 85.

Mr. Coil, a Riverside native, was president of Tilden-Coil Constructors that was responsible for the renovation of the Historic Riverside County Courthouse and construction of the Pechanga Resort and Casino and several buildings at local schools and colleges.

He was an active leader on numerous public and private boards and committees including the Riverside Community College District Foundation (three terms), as a Trustee for La Sierra University, Riverside Arts Foundation, American Red Cross, Mission Inn Foundation and the IJCR Foundation. Mr. Coil was particularly passionate about his service to the Boy Scouts.

Mr. Coil made a career of contributing to the local sports scene, including recent work at the RCC Aquatic Center and Wheelock Gymnasium and in generous support for individual athletes and teams at all levels.
