‘Venom,’ ‘A Star Is Born’ repeat Box Office wins
HOLLYWOOD - “Venom” and Lady Gaga’s “A Star Is Born” are the top two attractions at the nation’s movie theaters.

Moveigoers have continued to shrug off negative reviews as “Venom” has taken in more than $142 million domestically.

Ryan Gosling’s “First Man” launched in third place at the low end of expectations, edging the opening of Sony’s “Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween”.

“First Man,” directed by Damien Chazelle, follows Neil Armstrong’s life and the years leading up to the Apollo 11 mission to the moon in 1969.

“Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween” debuted slightly above expectations as it aims at family audiences.

Warner Bros.’ animated comedy “Smallfoot” took the fifth spot.
