Voters give IE's Congressional delegation thumbs up
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The Inland Empire’s 7-member Congressional delegation remains intact. Most races were not even close.
Republican Duncan Hunter, who is facing charges of improper spending of campaign contributions, fended off a challenge by a relatively unknown Democrat.
Republican Tim Donnelly tried to give fellow GOP incumbent Paul Cook a run for his money, but it failed.
Other incumbents rolling up convincing victories were Democrats Norma Torres, Raul Ruiz, and Mark Takano. Republican Ken Calvert, the senior member of the local delegation, easily disposed of Democrat Julia Peacock.
And, Democrat Pete Aguilar retains his seat in the 31st District.
