Three factors driving down gasoline prices
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – After months of the highest gasoline prices in 3-years, several factors have combined to drive down pump prices into the holidays.

The weekly Auto Club Fuel Gauge report puts the statewide average for a gallon of 87 octane regular at $3.73. In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is six cents lower than last week, nine cents lower than last month, but 47 cents more than this time last year.

The cheaper winter blend is now in fuel tanks. “At the same time, oil prices have continued dropping, making gasoline less expensive to produce, and we are entering the low fuel demand season,” the Auto Club’s Jeff Spring said.

It’s good news for the near-record 4.2 million Southern Californians who will soon be taking their Thanksgiving holiday journeys.
