Snow play arrives at Big Bear for a 5-month run
BIG BEAR – (INT) – No thanks to Mother Nature, one snow play venue is getting a jump-start on winter.

Big Bear Snow Play has opened on man-made snow with three full-length snow-tubing runs.

“We’re happy to announce the winter season in Big Bear is now underway thanks to colder nights and our snowmaking equipment,” said Big Bear Snow Play Director of Operations Scott Voigt.

With winter coming, Big Bear Snow Play says it will eventually blanket its eight runs with more snow and expects to eventually have more than 20 feet.

Big Bear Snow Play provides two Magic Carpet uphill lifts, which are comprised of a large moving conveyor belt, that transports riders to the top.

Snow tubing in Big Bear is expected to last through April.
