FONTANA – (INT) – The City Council has approved the updated General Plan capping a 3-year effort.

The plan is considered the City of Fontana's blueprint for its growth and development over the next 20 years.

Two notable elements include the addition of a Downtown Area Plan and a Walkable Mixed-Use Land-Use category.

"I can't thank our great staff enough, citizens and all the people that took out time to participate in the process," stated Mayor Acquanetta Warren. "This is how you map out your community, this is where the vision begins. Now we have the plan; all we have to do now is walk the step and implement."
