Falling gas prices early Christmas present
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Just in time for the year-end holidays, gasoline prices are in full reverse.

Prices below 3-dollars-a-gallon are appearing in scattered locations around Southern California after six straight weeks of price drops.

The Auto Club’s Fuel Gauge report puts the statewide average at $3.49 for 87 octane regular. In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is 30 cents lower than last month, but still 28 cents more than this time last year.

The price drop has accelerated with some individual gas stations cutting pump prices as much as 10-cents overnight.

The decline began when the cheaper winter blend of gasoline went on sale November 1st.
