San Bernardino election results certified
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Results of the November election have been certified and will stand barring any recounts.

Final numbers issued Thursday show that San Bernardino City Councilman John Valdivia turned incumbent Mayor Carey Davis out of office. Valdivia rolled up a 1,828 vote victory margin or just over 52 Percent of the ballots that were cast.

Election officials found the race for the Fourth Ward City Council seat much closer. Incumbent Fred Shorett held onto his post by just eight votes over newcomer Alexandra ‘Alex’ Beltran.

Elected to the City Council by more decisive margins were Theodore Sanchez in the First Ward and Sandra Ibarra in the Second Ward.
