BEAUMONT – (INT) - A motorist’s mistake near the drive-up window of a fast food restaurant claimed her life.

Police said the customer had stopped her vehicle in the drive-thru lane of the restaurant on East 2nd Street Marketplace and got out failing to put the gearshift in ‘park’. The vehicle crept forward running over the driver and pinning her against a wall of the building.

Paramedics responded to the Saturday afternoon accident, but the victim died at a local hospital.

Authorities withheld her identity pending the notification of her relatives.
