‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ for the third week
HOLLYWOOD - (INT) - The animated sequel “Ralph Breaks the Internet” has generated $140 million since it opened over Thanksgiving.

Another cartoon adventure almost gave “Ralph” a run for its money. “The Grinch” holds down second place in its fifth week in the nation’s theaters. It has collected $322.4 million globally.

A series of holdovers round out the top five as the studios sit out the pre-holiday timeframe.

Moviegoing gets a boost this coming weekend when “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “The Mule,” and “Mortal Engines” hit theaters. That will kick off a competitive Christmas race as “Mary Poppins Returns,” “Aquaman,” and “Bumblebee” enter the fray the following weekend. (variety.com contributed to this story)
