Inland employed exceed 2 million for first time

November’s jobless rate dipped to 3.9 percent equaling the California rate, but slightly higher that the 3.5 percent for the nation. The rates were the lowest in at least 50 years.

The number of people employed in the Inland Empire eclipsed two million for the first time.

The California Employment Development Department (EDD) estimated the region’s job growth at 2.2 percent over the past 12-months for a gain of 33,200 jobs. Government led in employment growth over the year. Notable year-over payroll increases were also recorded in trade, transportation, utilities, and three other sectors.

2018 is likely to finish with some of the best numbers ever seen.
