Two pedestrians among four highway fatalities
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Witnesses say a pedestrian jumped over a center divider wall before being struck and killed on Interstate 10 in Redlands Saturday evening.

The incident forced the closure of the eastbound lanes near Orange Street.

In Rancho Cucamonga, another pedestrian may have been working on his vehicle before he was killed on the Route 210 freeway near Archibald Avenue Friday night. The coroner said that Miguel Macias, 32, was standing near his vehicle when he was hit.

Weekend accidents in the Coachella Valley claimed two more lives. One motorist perished when his SUV crashed in Rancho Mirage and caught fire. An early Saturday morning collision in Thermal killed one person and injured another.
